The New Year is packed with another flurry of fun and great activities for the Headwaters Chapter of Trout Unlimited! Members and guests are encouraged to refer to our Calendar of Events link on the home page for a full compliment of the years exciting happenings.

Consider joining us every other Thursday near Gaylord through March at our Tie-One-On sessions; where instructors provide materials and expertise in all manner of fly tying. Families and friends alike have benefited from local experts and beaten the cold and dark of winter learning more about favorite patterns in preparation of the upcoming trout season.

The Chapter also hosts our annual Introduction to Fly Fishing workshop on March 27, 2010, at the Johannesburg-Lewiston High School. Imagine casting instructions, insect studies, equipment and knot demonstrations, men, women and children groups including lunch for the whole family; all in the shelter of a warm school gym and classroom setting! Costs: $10.00/adults, $5.00/Kids, $20.00/Family.

Our busy winter sessions end with the Chapter hosting our 32nd Annual Banquet Saturday, April 17th, 2010 at the Otsego Club! Please join us as we gather to support our local wild trout population for the areas best party! All proceeds raised stay locally in our communities. In 2009 the Headwaters Chapter spent over $20,000.00 to protect or enhance our local natural resources.
